Untitled
Sterling silver, simulated blue topaz.

This hollow form ring represents an experiment combining a channel setting with a tab setting. It has a rough filed finish to contrast with the clean cut stone.
Bone Ring I
Sterling silver, found weathered bone, lab alexandrite.

Another experiment with settings, the bone is cold connected with wire soldered to the ring shank. The stone sits in a basket setting attached to a post that runs down into the hollow of the bone, which is in turn held in place with a single rivet. The bone is set vertically on the ring so that while being worn, it overlays the wearer's own finger bone.
Bone Ring II
Sterling silver, found weathered bone.

A variation on the above, with a slightly different method of setting using both sheet and wire (on reverse). The bone has a subtle curve to it which makes this piece very graceful.
Do Your Ears Hang Low?
Enamel, copper, sterling silver wire, patina.

My first attempt at enamelling, these are life-size ears as earrings. The ear wire is 10 gauge and as such these can only be worn by persons with stretched ear piercings. This piece was published in the 2007 Book of 500 Earrings put out by Lark Books. It can be seen on page 128.
Hair Ring
Sterling silver, human hair.

Hollow form ring and shank. A lock of human hair sprouts from the center tube.
